Where they are multiplying good: Chicago, IL
How they are multiplying good: Spencer Long works tirelessly to advance civic learning and democratic engagement for college and university students across the country, even during the COVID-19 pandemic. In May, Spencer was able to help bring together national directors and other leaders from across the country to discuss, and ultimately agree to, working together and sharing resources with colleges and universities around the upcoming 2020 election. Furthermore, he lead efforts to adapt programming after the second part of the Spring Semester was delivered remotely, including the end of the year leadership and service awards ceremony. With a very short turnaround time, Spencer was also able to help lead efforts to create a new COVID-19 service page for students looking for ways they could help during the pandemic. Outside of work, Spencer was also able to help lead efforts to deliver a remote experience as part of his volunteer role with the Pathway to Adventure Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
