As Chris posted in Facebook: "Food Pantry Volunteer Friday. Served 101 families in 45 minutes." They come two hours early and wait even longer. . From the south side and Wisconsin. But mostly right here, in one of the poshest zip codes in Chicago. People who live in their cars and others in six figure luxury cars. Alone. In families. Groups of families. My boss says: “We don’t know their story and we don’t ask. We just give.” A cartful of groceries and a great big serving of respect.
